Individual Therapy

Sofa with two chairs

Sometimes it can feel like everything is just too much and you need to find a way to get out of the situation. I offer individual therapy for those going through depression, anxiety, relationship and family issues, addiction, or crises and life changes. Individual therapy begins with a first session in which we get to know each other, you can share your issues and what you would like to achieve in our time together. After that, you can decide how often you would like to see me, whether that is weekly, every fortnight or monthly - whatever suits you.

Sessions are available in person or online, giving you the flexibility to choose what works best for you.

Couples Therapy

Sofa with two chairs from the side

Seeking couples or family therapy doesn’t mean your relationship is failing - it means you care enough to work on it. Therapy can offer a safe and structured space to express yourselves openly, better understand one another, and move toward a solution that feels right for both of you.

Relationships can face a wide range of challenges - from communication breakdowns and ongoing conflict to life transitions, parenting struggles, or feelings of distance and disconnection. Systemic family therapy looks at the relationship as a whole, helping each person gain insight into patterns, dynamics, and the emotional context that shapes them.

It’s not always easy to talk to friends or family about these issues - their advice may be well-meaning, but it can come with bias, loyalty conflicts or judgement. In therapy, my role is to remain impartial, open, and non-judgemental. I support you in creating a space where both voices are heard and respected, and where meaningful change can happen.

I also offer support for intercultural couples and third-culture families, where navigating differences in language, culture, and identity can add unique layers to a relationship.

I also offer therapy for those in non-traditional relationships and for LGBTQA+ couples.

Family Therapy

Family therapy can be useful, especially when children or teenagers are involved, in order for everyone in the family system to take part in and engage with the issue at hand. A famous quote in systemic therapy is: “The person is not the problem - the problem is the problem”. Family therapy allows each family member to share their thoughts, feelings and experiences in a setting designed to create understanding and ideas for ways moving forward. Family therapy can take place in any constellation: one parent and one child, or both parents and all children. Grandparents and extended family are also welcome. I offer support for all types of families, whether they be blended families, nuclear families, adoptive and foster families or rainbow families. As a systemic family therapist, I remain impartial and non-judgemental, and collaborate with the whole family to find solutions where everyone feels they can participate and be seen.

How it works

Our work begins with an initial session where we explore what brings you to therapy, your goals, and how we should work together. This first meeting is a chance for us to get to know each other. We can discuss which topics you wish to explore - or avoid.

If you decide to continue, we will agree on a rhythm that suits you - whether that is weekly, every two weeks or once a month. Sessions usually take place at the same time each week (for example, Tuesday at midday), but this can be adapted as needed. There is no fixed duration for therapy. The process continues for as long as it feels helpful and you feel you are moving towards your goals. Each journey is different, and we will regularly check in to ensure the work is aligned to your needs.

Confidentiality

Any conversations I have with clients are strictly confidential by law (the Austrian Psychotherapy Act) and I am forbidden from giving out any names and information about my clients, even in supervision.

Cancellation and breaks

In the event that you need to cancel the session, please inform me at least 24 hours in advance by text message or by e-mail, otherwise I will have to charge you the full price for the session.

Should I need to take time off (e.g. for holidays), I will inform you well in advance. I also kindly ask that you let me know if you‘re planning to pause therapy for an extended period (longer than three weeks), so we can plan accordingly.
