Depression

Depression can feel like a heavy, isolating experience which not only affects your mood, but also your relationships, daily routines, sense of self and hopes for the future.

Systemic therapy approaches depression by looking beyond the individual experience to understand how your relationships, family dynamics, wider environment and habits may influence your feelings and thought patterns. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, this approach explores the context in which depression occurs, opening up new possibilities for change.

In therapy, we work collaboratively to uncover internal or external patterns that may be maintaining your difficulties and we also look at your personal strengths and resources. The goal is to help you develop new perspectives, coping strategies, and ways of relating that support your recovery and overall wellbeing.

Systemic therapy offers a compassionate and respectful space where your story is heard, your experience validated, and your autonomy supported - empowering you to reconnect with yourself and the people around you as you navigate the path going forward.

I also offer support for post-partum depression, which I can also offer online if this is more comfortable for you.
