Anxiety

Anxiety can feel overwhelming and all-consuming, affecting your thoughts, body, and relationships. It often shows up as persistent worry, restlessness, or a sense of being on edge, which makes everyday life challenging to navigate. This can also lead to panic attacks and feelings of helplessness, which can also cause depression.

Systemic therapy approaches anxiety by looking at the broader picture and exploring how your relationships, family dynamics, and environment may influence your experience. Systemic therapy seeks to understand the patterns and contexts that contribute to your anxiety, opening up new pathways for change.

In therapy, we work together to identify these patterns and support you in discovering your inner strengths and coping strategies. The aim is to help you develop new perspectives and was of relating to the situation that can reduce anxiety’s hold and increase your sense of safety and control.

This approach offers a compassionate, non-judgemental space where your feelings are validated, and your personal story is honoured - empowering you to build resilience and move toward a calmer, more balanced life.

I also offer support for post-partum anxiety, which I can also offer online if this is more comfortable for you.
