About Me

I was born and raised in a small, rural town in England, and my journey took me through a variety of cultures and contexts before I settled down in Vienna in 2014. Working in a children’s therapeutic community in the Kaluga Region in Russia changed the course of my life completely and it was there that I developed a profound interest in inter-personal communication, family systems, inter-generational cycles, inner resources and the narratives we hold about our lives. From childhood to adulthood, I have moved across various socio-economic, linguistic and cultural worlds and I can appreciate the difficulties and complexities involved in navigating new environments and challenging life situations. I have a strong interest in other people’s stories and contexts, and I like to hold the depth and curiosity required to better understand another person.

My Approach

I have a deep understanding of how dauting it can be to start therapy and it is with that in mind that I work on eye-to-eye level with clients. My aim is for us to work together to find solutions to their problems, gain new perspectives and construct new, more empowering narratives. I respect the courage it takes to admit certain problems, emotions and behaviours and I strive to offer a compassionate and non-judgemental space for clients to unfold, process and heal.

I work mainly using the narrative, collaborative and solution-focused approaches of systemic family therapy. I also have experience with the hypno-systemic approach.

What does ‘in training under supervision’ mean?

I am currently in training under supervision (in Ausbildung unter Supervision), which means that I am closely monitored and screened by experienced and accredited training therapists. Unfortunately, this means that I cannot yet offer reimbursement on the Austrian insurance system.
